It's January 2025 and I am looking forward to another food fiesta at the perya, a joyful festival of street food, kiddie rides, and arcade games. I enjoyed the affordable, delicious food, tsubibo or ferris wheel ride, target shooting, and BINGO games. The fiesta is celebrated every April in our hometown at San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.

The nachos were a must-try and one of my favorites at the fiesta. It was crispy, cheesy, beefy with fresh veggies and delicious Mexican salsa. Enjoy other street food such as palamig or samalamig, a Filipino sweet, fruity, chilled drink with soft, colorful jellies; spicy chili dynamites, chicken skin, chicken liver, kwek-kwek or fried quail eggs dipped in orange colored butter, fried siomai, and fried isaw or chicken intestines; cotton candies and cheesy popcorns; balut or a developing egg embryo boiled in hot water; and java rice with pork sisig topped with mayo; mango graham shake; and ice cold Coke.
